Day 1:- History, technology of the collodion negative process together with the related printing processes (salted papers and albumen prints). Participants will look at original 19th century examples and to contemporary creation.
Day 2:- Practical demonstration on each stage of the wet plate process: coating a glass plate with a Day collodion solution, exposure, developing, fixing, washing and drying.
Day 3:- Entirely devoted to the making of collodion images using a large camera provided by the teacher.
Fee: Fee for the 3-day workshop: 300euro
